American Standard and Mitsubishi Electric in accordance with the new EPA guidelines is changing to R454B refrigerant. The transition to the new R454B will be starting late 2024. R410A will no longer be manufactured in equipment as of January 1, 2025.
Come to this training to acquire a better understanding of the new refrigerant and safety of working with this new refrigerant.
Objectives:
• Understand what A2L means, and which refrigerants fall into this classification
• Understand how to safely handle this refrigerant
• Understand what manufactures are doing to make the equipment safe for home installation
• Understand refrigerant charging processes, Subcool, Superheat
Learn what tools will be required to use this refrigerant safely.
