Ferguson stocks a variety of refrigerants for all your HVAC needs. When it comes to retrofitting many R-22 applications, Ferguson HVAC is here to help. We offer Freon MO99, Forane R-427A, Bluon and more! We also stock R-404A for refrigeration and R-134A for automotive and appliances.
MO99
Freon™ MO99 (R-438A) is the closest match to R-22 of all “no oil change” replacement refrigerants. It is compatible with mineral oil, AB and POE lubricants and is non-flammable. Freon™ MO99 matches R-22 in terms of capacity and efficiency in most systems, but with a significantly lower discharge temperature that may prolong the life of the compressor.
Forane
Forane® 427A (R-427A) is the Easy RetrofitTM when it comes to retrofitting many R-22 applications, including air conditioning, heat pumps, and low- and medium-temperature refrigeration. Forane® 427A matches R-22 closely in terms of performance and operating pressures and was developed to minimize the work necessary during an R22 retrofit.
R-407C
R-407C is a blend designed to have similar properties to R-22. R-407C is suitable for residential & light air conditioning and direct expansion air conditioning systems. This blend does require a POE lubricant.
Bluon
Bluon TdX 20 (RR458A30) is the only R-22 replacement that is a complete solution for HVAC technicians. It is more energy efficient than R-22 with virtually identical capacity. Bluon has a lower GWP than any other replacement and perhaps most importantly, offers the first and only industry-first comprehensive technical support.
R-404A
R-404A has been the long-standing HFC replacement for R-502 and R-22 in refrigeration applications. It is widely used in commercial refrigeration equipment and new and existing R-502 equipment. R-404A is a close match for R-502 and works over the entire R-502 operating range. OEMs recommend POE oil for optimum reliability.
