A crossover system blends the traditional ducted heating and cooling features while integrating components of ductless technology. In this class participants will learn about the proper application, installation, startup, and basic troubleshooting of Ductless and Crossover systems.
Course topics include:
- Installation and setup for ductless indoor and outdoor units, multi-zones, and crossover units
- Piping, flaring, and brazing must (best) practices for correct installation and safety
- Pressure test and proper evacuation to ensure leak free and dry system
- Setup of air flow on mini-split and cross over air handlers
- Dip switch configuration for 24V controls on ductless and crossover products
- Dual fuel installation setup with mitigation wiring for crossover applications with gas furnaces and coils
- Startup sheet completion for ductless, crossover and gas furnaces to include fan speed setup gas furnace for dual fuel applications.
- Thermostat and control setup depending on application and new wiring for controls.
