How hard can it be? We wish we had a nickel for every time we heard this. So many call backs and start-up issues are the result of installation oversights. It’s one of those things that installation crews become so familiar with that at times they forget some of the details. A forgotten detail such as proper air flow settings can snowball and results in an improper charge which may reveal itself immediately or later in time. If proper start up records are not kept, then how can the technician providing routine maintenance months and years later know if there has been compromises in the system? Therefore, why not review what data we should be gathering on a start-up and what procedures and practices should be done on a maintenance call.
