VRF Masters: Toshiba Carrier New U-Series Technical Training

This course covers multiple key topics covering installation, startup, troubleshooting, controls, and service for VRF systems (3-pipe) NEW U-Series. This course is part of the required training curriculum for the VRF Masters Toshiba Carrier Certification that is open to both Bryant and Carrier Dealers. Additionally, this class is available to non-VRF program dealers that need training to purchase VRF equipment. *Training is a prerequisite for all customers before they are allowed to purchase VRF equipment with Ferguson HVAC.
Course Objectives:
- Discuss VRF technology and application.
- Review VRF system products and components.
- Examine VRF system function and operation, setup and addressing.
- Review installation procedures, best practices, and testing.
- Review addressing check points and startup procedure.
- Review key troubleshooting tools and codes.
- Explore VRF controls components and integration.
- Identify key system components and service functions.
- Explore troubleshooting activities with lab time.
- Evaluate control board layouts and schematics, piping, and system components for servicing.
Prerequisites:
- Must enroll and complete the three (3) online VRF Master prerequisites via My Learning Center before attending the class.
- VRF Basics (FAD/non-FAD version can apply).
- VRF Heat Pump: Pre-Installation & Startup
- VRF Heat Recovery: Pre-Installation & Startup
Training Day Requirements: At least one person from your company should bring a laptop computer so we can help you install the VRF (Vroom) software.
Light breakfast and lunch are included
Credit: Qualifies for 24 hours distributor FAD credit, and 24 NATE hours (must attend all three days to receive credit for the class)
